About

GBA Basketball Association

One tournament in Cambridge, Ohio 20+ years ago led to the creation of the Girls Basketball Association (GBA) in 2003. In that 18 years, the GBA has grown into the largest "girls only" basketball association in the Midwest.  We have hosted tournaments all over Ohio, as well as West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Pennsylvania.

The goal of the GBA is to provide girls grades 3rd-11th the opportunity to work on their basketball skills in the spring and summer months.  We pride ourselves in operating family-friendly tournaments.  You have responded.  We are overwhelmed each weekend with teams coming from several states, as well as Canada.

Since 2003, GBA has become a household name in girls basketball. We are now running tournaments every weekend in March, April, May, June and expanded into July.  On average we have 175+ teams playing in tournaments each weekend.  The GBA season culminates with a national tournament in Cincinnati, Ohio in June.  This 3-day National tournament is fun for the whole family and includes a 3-day pass opportunity to attend the King’s Island amusement park.

Also, we have added College Exposure team tournament at Capital University in Columbus, OH.  It is our hope that if you have not had the opportunity to experience a GBA weekend, 2021 is the year for you.  The GBA tournaments are the best run “girls only” basketball events in the Midwest.

We hope to see you on the court in 2021!
